The Chinese MG Pilot is a redesigned version of the MGHS (debuted at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show). The most notable difference is its new exterior design, which is based on the "stylistic language" of the third generation. The car features a completely new front end with an avant-garde design, including a large hexagonal grille made from double wavy lines and aggressive cutouts in the bumper. It also has stylish LED headlight graphics.
MG Pilot models are still available with two turbocharged petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre engine with 173 horsepower, or a 2.0-litre model with 231 horsepower. In more powerful versions, such as the MG HS, an all-wheel-drive system is available. A rechargeable hybrid model with a 1.5 engine is also available, with a 75-kilometre electric range.
